We love all the seasons in the Botanic Gardens, but there’s something really lovely about spring. Our little world around the Ornamental Lake changes every day – we notice a host of daffodils where there were none a few days earlier, suddenly there’s blossom on a tree that was bare the day before, and best of all there’s the excitement and anticipation of watching the cygnets appear one by one in their nest on one of the floating gardens. Our resident swans, Leslie and Francis, have four little cygnets that hatched just at the end of August. They steal the show on our tours, especially with the kids. Too cute!
