Punting on the Lake is located in the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, about 10 minutes’ drive from Federation Square in the city centre.
Tours depart from in front of the Terrace Cafe, a short walk from Gate A on the corner of Alexandra Avenue and Anderson Street (Melways ref. 2G D11) South Yarra. Follow the directional signs for “Gate A” or “Terrace Cafe”.
Punting on the Lake is located in the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, on the corner of Alexandra Avenue & Anderson Street in South Yarra.
- From Flinders St Station, take Tram#8 down St Kilda Road and Domain Rd. Get off at Stop #24 and enter the Royal Botanic Gardens through Gate D. Walk downhill towards the lake, following the directional signs for “Gate A” or “Terrace Cafe”.
- Take a train to Richmond Station. Exit onto Swan Street, cross diagonally on the intersection with Punt Road and follow the path through “Gosch’s Paddock” (an elite sports training field). Then, walk over Morell Bridge and enter the Botanic Gardens at Gate A. We are approximately 150 metres inside the Gardens.
- Some car parking is available on Alexandra Avenue and Anderson Street ($0.80 per hour on Mon-Fri, free on weekends).
- Tour bus parking is available on Anderson Street, near Gate A of the Botanic Gardens.
